Visit airport, get fondled free!

Via Lessig Blog, Penn Jillete stands up to federal airport thugs with interesting results. Contemplating a lawsuit, he says

[F]reedom is kind of a hobby with me, and I have disposable income that I'll spend to find out how to get people more of it.

Sadly, in the follow-up article he concludes that a noisy lawsuit might do more harm than good. Oh well.

I like the woman's response, which was pretty much "we have no interest in the law, but every interest in keeping you as a satisfied customer." Very American.
